Lyn is a graduate of the Clinical Musicians Program and the International Harp Therapy Program. Her background in clinical psychology brings an understanding of the importance of emotional and spiritual wellbeing to her work in therapeutic music.
Lyn plays her harp for patients, families and staff at Flinders Medical Centre and the Laurel Hospice. Her music creates a soothing ambiance in wards, promotes wellbeing and reduces tension. Patients report feeling more relaxed after a session with the harp. As a qualified meditation facilitator, Lyn uses her harp music to enrich guided mindfulness meditations for staff.
Elderly residents in aged care homes enjoy hearing songs of their era played on her harp. The music stimulates memories which promotes experiential conversation and enhances social interaction. They like singing along to familiar tunes.
