Carol started her professional working life as a solicitor. She then trained in medicine and worked as a rural GP for more than 20 years.  Along the way she completed training in counseling and psychotherapy.  In 2009 she was loaned a harp, and fell in love with the instrument. She then studied the use of harp in therapy and graduated from the International Harp Therapy Program.

Carol attends, as a volunteer, with her harp in the palliative care wards of two rural hospitals and also attends, as a volunteer, in the rehabilitation ward and general wards in a rural hospital.  She feels privileged to offer harp music for relaxation and support for people in hospital and particularly in the end of life journey.

Carol is very interested in the evidence base for the effectiveness of live harp music in health care settings and would like to contribute to research in this field.
